He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

Trust The Process

Jos 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success

Around 20 years ago, a fad rose up about forwarding emails to number of people in order to be blessed. Fast forward, the new fad is type “AMEN” to a post to be blessed. What happened to seeking God in prayer, studying the word, thanksgiving, repentance, dying to self, obedience, endurance, self sacrificing, forgiveness etc?

Joshua here began by cherishing and relying on the Word in order to do ALL that is written. This did not mean perfection but direction, striving to do what is good. And then and only then prosperity and good success would follow him which was but secondary. His priority was God and God’s priority was to develop his character. Most of us want more than we are equipped to handle. Success ruins lives of those who do not have safety nets (covering). Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you, Matt 6:33 (mark the word added.)
