The carnal reasonings of natural men is hostile to God’s providences, purposes, and His methods of salvation. Our minds left unattended become wild, confused and out of control. The mind forms its own beliefs and imaginations and must be brought under the obedience of Christ.
Our weapons are not powerful of themselves; they are passive and are only effective when used by a superior hand to renew the mind. Jam 4:7 reads “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”. Submission to God in prayer and the word are the tools to RESIST the devil as Jesus did in the wilderness. Everyday the battle to doubt, manipulate, change the word of God are real, we must submit to God and His power before we have the ability to resist. By these weapons the soul is rescued, delivered, and brought to the obedience of Christ.
