Where Healing Begins

Num 12:11 So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned“.

Aaron and Miriam saw their need to ask for forgiveness over their rebellion. Aaron being now the spokesman became pleaded with Moses rather than demand.

The key to healing is to reconcile with the party wronged. Jam 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, pray for one another that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much“. Rather than cry to God, they went to Moses who in reconciliation interceded for his sister’s healing, Num 12:13 “So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray. The humble show mercy and compassion they themselves have received. The key is to release people, drop the charges and forgive. Forgiveness is letting go what you are justified to hold on to. Leprosy is the result of pride, greed, roots of bitterness and un-forgiveness only healed through humility and confession. God honored the cry of His servant on behalf of another.
