Psa 91:15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him
The established relationship provides comfort that when we call on God who loves and cares, He will answer us. Jer 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
One of the most assuring verses is found in 1Jhn 5:14-15 “14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. …” “Saints are first called of God and then they call upon God; … Not without prayer will the blessing come to the most favored, but by means of prayer they shall receive all good things…Believers are not delivered or preserved in a way which lowers them, and makes them feel degraded; far from it, the Lord’s salvation bestows honor upon those it delivers. God first gives us conquering grace, and then rewards us for it” (Charles Spurgeon). God speaks to us primarily by His word, we speak to Him by prayers. Prayer is the call God answers.
