2Co 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
One thing I see most parents do is encourage their children to acknowledge and give thanks when they receive things from them or from others. I find it alarming that we don’t encourage ourselves to be more grateful to God in all and for all He does for us. We don’t use the same time and fervency we prayed for something to return and give thanks.
The apostle Paul in writing to the church at Corinth heard good news of what God was doing in their lives. He was so filled with joy that he thanked God the author of all blessings. Apostle Paul in more ways than one would credit God for the victories in his ministry. It was all due to God in Christ who always led him in triumphal (victory). Victories tend to be after battles or obstacles standing in the way. In ourselves, we are weak and have neither joy nor victory, but in Christ, we may rejoice and triumph. He has blessed us with an abundance of blessings from salvation, life, family, jobs, peace, good health etc, To Him, therefore be thanksgiving, praise, and glory.
