There are 3 crossroads in life we may face as seen with Orpah, Naomi and Ruth. Crossroad is a place of reshaping our walk when the past is understood, the present is cloudy, and the future is uncertain.

Driven by famine, Elimelech and Naomi fled to Moab with their 2 sons. Those 2 sons later married Moabite women Ruth and Orpah. At some point all the 3 men, father and sons died and we come to learn of these 3 widows. Naomi upon hearing that God had visited Bethlehem and gave them bread, resolved to return home. Having lost a husband, two sons, in a foreign land, feeling forgotten by God she was at a crossroad so was Ruth and Orpah. At crossroad, the condition and commitment of their hearts would be revealed. They would all wrestle with the thought of returning, staying or going. I will address each woman’s battle at the crossroad.
