Psa 40:1…I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.
The title of this message was my brother Andrew’s slogan after his horrible accident in 2012. He knew the road ahead would be long with pain and limitations. He knew his patience would be tested in every level, but he resolved with the help of God to go through and endure the journey with patience without frustrations.
The psalmist David knowing his past experience with God learned that God was not in a hurry to grant results (answers). God is about the process than He is about results(answers). In my math class back in the days, my teacher was less impressed with my right answers but with how I got to the answers. The process shapes our thinking (worldview), strengthens our faith, teaches us to move from self reliance to God reliance. If we can withstand the process, that is patiently wait for the Lord in prayers, we can withhold the answers when they come. This requires patience without frustrations.
