Psa 37:1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers!
Moses pleaded with God many times to pardon Israel from their accusations and complaints. But even Moses at some point had enough and spoke and acted in anger. In his anger, “…Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice” (Num 20:11 ). God gave Israel water however Moses was outside of God’s will for striking rather than speaking to the rock as instructed.
One of Satan’s aim is to disorient you so that you to react without thinking when angry. David warns us not to fret (be angry) because of evildoers. They hinder from entering into rest. Moses after 40 years of leadership was disqualified from entering the promised land (rest), in Deu 1:37 he explains “The Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying even you shall not go in there”. The people pushed him to anger and he succumbed. Don’t allow people and situations to do the same to you. Calm yourself down in prayers, don’t fight fire with fire. ANGER is one letter short for DANGER.
