He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

Divine Light

Jhn 9:5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

This statement cannot be limited to Jesus physically existing in the world alone. He is not just one of the lights, but the ultimate light. John already established His eternal existence from the very beginning, stating that “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4). This “light of men” originates from the essential existence of “life” in “the Word” that Jesus embodies. He imparts life and illuminates it to give it meaning. The source of wisdom, holiness, and joy for humanity in its original state can be traced back to “in Him was life, which is also the light of men.

To be blind, like the man mentioned, is to be in darkness, lost, and unable to discern one’s surroundings. The life that Christ grants brings enlightenment to individuals. He is the Light of the World, as stated in John 8:12 “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.‘” His light dispels the darkness from the earth. Throughout history, it is evident that Christ is the Light of the World, and every redeemed soul acknowledges this truth.
