Psa 19:1… The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
The positions I presented commenced with the presupposition that the Bible is true and has no contradictions. The Bible has proven to be inherent, authoritative, reliable, sufficient and equips me better to understand what is outside of it because it points me back to the Creator. We don’t reason our way to truth, rather we begin by taking God at His word, and we make scripture the foundation on which all reason is built upon, (1Tim 1:3-6, 1Tim 4:13-17). Could both science and bible explain creation without contradiction? I believe so. The Bible provides the simplicity of the doing, science attempts to address the complexity of His doing. Does the bible disprove some or all evolution? The Bible supports microevolution that happens on a small scale (within a single population) such as birds beaks becoming longer, or neck of an animal stretching. The Bible does not support macroevolution which is a belief in change of kind, a species evolving to another eg monkey becoming a man.
David looking to heaven saw more than heaven but the Creator of the heavens and how His creation glorifies Him. The more we know God and His creation, the more we know how and why we were created. We learn that God is mindful of us. The importance of the Bible’s message demands it be received with fair consideration. The truthfulness of its message is observable, testable, and able to withstand scrutiny. Reckless faith seeks spiritual truth a part from scripture. True faith is not blind faith.
