Rom 1:16-17, 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, …17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, …”
I present a biblical case why I believe God saves through the preaching/sharing of the gospel. Paul declares the Gospel (good news) as the power of God for salvation, for in this Gospel is the righteousness (right standing) with and of God is revealed from faith to faith (Rom 1:17).
In Rom 10:13-17, Paul explains but working his way backwards (from result to the process) “13 whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” But then he highlights a dilemma vs. “14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” Paul is stating clearly that sharing the gospel is the means by which one hears and believes, it ignites faith, Rom 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing…the word of God”. The voice of God is His word, “Faith comes by hearing the word and not by studying the nature. Nature drives us to scripture for true understanding of God and His ways, it’s the word of God that gives birth to faith” (Phil Johnson).
