Acts 9:8-9, 8 Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9, And he was three days without sight
Saul’s ability to see in the natural was temporarily taken away and had to be led. He who was strong in his own doing was rendered helpless without seeing or being led. In his temporary state, his spiritual eyes were activated and he was never the same again. Perhaps he rehearsed in those three days what he saw when he encountered with Lord and from now on he would walk by faith and not by sight.
At times what we see with our natural eyes can contaminate what we should see with our spiritual eyes. The eyes as the window to the soul proves, Mat 6:23 “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness …” Out of the 12 men sent by Moses to spy the land, 10 became paralyzed by what they saw with their natural eyes. We have too many distractions and our eyes play big part. Faith that sees, believes, and embraces what is to come because of God’s word regardless of what the natural displays. May Lord move us from the natural seeing to the spiritual seeing.
