Heb 10:7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come in the volume of the book it is written of Me to do Your will, O God.’”
A careful reader will recognize that the Bible is a library collection of sixty-six books. It contains a variety of genres: history, poetry, narrative, exposition, parable, apocalyptic etc. The bible writers while different were unified in their stories. They offer the same understanding of God throughout the bible that He is one God, Creator, Savior, and Judge. He is all powerful, all knowing, and eternal. His character is holy, good, loving, and just. They tell us of the sinful human nature, rendering man helpless under the weight of sin and only God made a way for man’s salvation through His Son Jesus. They offer a common understanding of Jesus Christ. He is both God and Man. He became a real human being in order to show the world the God it could not otherwise perceive. Something significant happened as a result of Jesus’ death on the cross, He made it possible for God and humanity to be reconciled.
All the writers offer the same hope that God will accomplish His purposes for His creation with Jesus as the center of His plan. Jesus came in the volume written of Him. To the two men on the road to Emmaus, Jesus began with Moses (Pentateuch) and all the prophets and preached to them concerning Himself for He is the main character in the entire bible (Luk 24:27). Men are prone to error, God’s word has no errors, It is our final authority.
