Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Solomon, in order to effectively exercise the office of a king, prayed for wisdom. Prayer is the means by which we involve God in our daily affairs for His leading. Think of this example, “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.” (Isa 48:17).
We must ask His advice and beg direction from Him. In all our ways that prove direct, fair, and pleasant, in which we gain, we must acknowledge God with thankfulness. Those that put themselves under the divine guidance shall always have the benefit of it. God will give them that wisdom which is profitable to direct, so that they shall not turn aside into the paths of sin. God Himself will so wisely order the event that it shall be to their mind for good. Those that faithfully follow the cloud of wind and pillar of fire shall find that it is God that leads them in the right way and will bring them to the promised land. But as Jam 4:2, reads “… You do not have, because you do not ask.”, the solution is in Jas 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. ”
