Gen 41:34-36, 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to… 35 … gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.
Joseph was young, a foreigner and had no formal training yet God gave him such favor that Pharaoh and his servants listened to him keenly. Pro 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Often times those that despise believers turn to them when they are in trouble to ask for prayers or even advise. Naaman in need listened to a foreign slave girl serving his wife.
Pharaoh’s counsellors could no more improve the dream than his magicians could interpret it; God in His brilliance ”27… has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.” (1Co 1:27-29). Joseph was set on using all he had from his life journey and revelation from above not for himself, but for others; therefore he had more and more to give.
