Psa 118:17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD
This verse is for those like Paul who know the call of God for their lives. What you know of God in you is the drive you need to face situations while encouraged with these words, “I shall not die, but live…” My faith, hope, vision, spirit, calling in God will not prematurely die. I may be bruised and limp but the fact that I can still see these things at distance is my hope, and hope does not disappoint. You live because of the life God began in you. 2Tim 1:12 “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day”.
Why still live? “To declare the works of the Lord” I live because He lives in me, I am still here until He is done with me. Deu 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both you and your descendants may live;” The faithful are full of faith in God that energizes them to keep going, God is for our joy when we are for His glory.
