Isa 55:10-11, 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
God brings to mind that rain and snow comes down from heaven and He is the causer and has a purpose for them. His purpose is that this act is a means to seed to the sower and bread to the eater and never fails.
This is God standing by His word giving assurance of its effectiveness. If a man is presented with a check with his name on it, date, amount and signed, that check is as good as cash and can be deposited in exchange for cash. That check becomes useless if it’s voided. The word “void” on the check nullifies it. God has given us a sure valid check to be cashed. It means little to no use if it is not utilized. The phrase “you can take it to the bank” is often used to mean, the information or statement presented is trustworthy from the speaker and can be relied upon. If we look down to this earth, we find God’s word there powerful, effectual, and answers all its great intentions. This reminds us that the promises of God shall all have their full accomplishment in due time, and not one iota or tittle of them shall fail, but we must cash the check for our benefit because we trust the author.
