Lam 3:26 It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
Daily confrontations with ideologies, opinions, logics become annoying noises in our ears. It is for our good to tune out hindering noises then hope and quietly wait for the salvation (rescue) of the Lord.
God’s angel delivered good news to Zechariah but “18…Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” 19 And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.” (Luk 1:18-20). It was for Zachariah’s good and those around him that he be silenced and wait, in it his faith was rebuilt. We become toxic to ourselves and others by what we entertain and speak. Noisy unbelief fueled by human reasoning battles the simplicity of faith, which is taking God at His word.
