1Chr 22:15-16, 15 Moreover there are workmen with you in abundance: woodsmen and stonecutters, and all types of skillful men for every kind of work 16 Of gold and silver and bronze and iron there is no limit. Arise and begin working, and the LORD be with you.
In life, hard work is required. Work was not the result of the fall of man, it just became harder after the fall. David was not ignorant of this important requirement. His son would be king, he would have servants to work. What Solomon needed to understand was his need to learn hard work at an early age. David surrounded his son Solomon with skillful men to work with him.
Parents are instrumental in selecting skillful people (teachers, instructors, lecturers, coaches etc.) to work with their children in preparation and building their lives. Such skillful people have different gifts and talents to work alongside parents instilling values of hard work. A parent who shields his children from learning and working hard is crippling their future. Though the Lord be with us, we must rise and be doing, and, if we do this, we have reason to believe He is and will be with us. Work out your salvation the Bible says, and God will work in you. It is the outworking of the internal for eternal purposes. Pro 15:22 “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.”
