Psa 25:4-5, 4 Show me your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me
In my math classes, my teacher was never impressed with right answers but steps leading to answers. Math solving questions need more than answers, in fact teachers give points to each right step. You learn and gain experiences through solving problems.
Road less traveled demands process where answers are wished for. David here is seeking deliverance (answers) but through a process (bring me through). On the ground of former favor, he invokes divine guidance, according to God’s gracious ways of dealings and faithfulness. God gave Israel answers, while Moses He showed His ways (process). This is where Moses flourished. Process molds and grows you in the “Show me”, “Teach me” and “Lead me”. Process builds perseverance (patience), establishes character (experience), increases faith (hope), teaches humility and surrender (self-denial) and testimony (memorial stones). If you walk with God long enough, you come to realize that God is never in a hurry. I believe God’s workings are seen “more” in the process than in providing answers. The road less traveled is narrow, very few find it.
