2Ki 7:3-4, 3 Now there were four men who were lepers …said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? 4 If we say, ‘Let us enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the camp of the Syrians. If they spare our lives we shall live, …
God puts some tanks in reserve for hopeless times (no way out), that is when all plans and common reasoning fails or are exhausted. In this short story, 4 lepers lost friends, food, health, family but God reserved a tank for their season of great need. There was a need to reason in order to apply wisdom. He opened in their understanding in their darkest hour of need.
Once they began to utilize it by speaking then acting, God orderred and magnified their steps, making their feet sound like a mighty army. Four weak sickly men sounded mightier than a whole trained army. God made the army hear mighty sound of footsteps prompting them to escape without checking. God gave the 4 leper’s the enemies‘ spoils. May God open His reserved tanks for such a time as this and order your steps in your darkest hours.
