1Sa 1:17 Then Eli answered, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him.”
To get heaven’s attention, we must engage heaven by the means it responds to needs. Prayers gets God’s attention, heaven goes into motion when we pray. Hannah had held in her heart what she desired of the Lord. She discerned that the only way to obtain it was to come before the Lord and pour her heart in prayers. God rewards persevering prayers by faith, she had it.
Heb 10:35-36, “35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward, 36. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise”. Our confidence in God propels us to pray to Him, there is reward in seeking God. You can’t in your right mind ask someone for something big if you don’t believe they have it and can give it to you. God has it and wants to give to His people. Seeking Him calls us to be real (pouring) and endure (patience) as observed with Hannah. It’s is taking comfort from hearing from the high priest (Jesus) that God has heard your prayers. And after you have done the will of God, seek His Kingdom first and His righteousness (Matt 6:33), then the promise of the other things you have desired according to His will shall are added unto you. Point no. 4 prayers get God’s attention.
