Dan 6:10 When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house … He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.
Nucleus is the central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth. Daniel’s character, work ethics, faithfulness were shaped by his devotion to God displayed in His prayer life. Though he was the most distinguished man of his day, and very busy with his public business, Daniel managed to make time for prayers at all times. The accusations, the decrees would not destroy his foundation or corrupt it because of his consistency and faithfulness. Prayers became the nucleus that held every aspect of his life together.
Time spent in prayer is not lost time to the suppliant, it is time well invested (spent). Martin Luther would say: “I have so much to do today that I cannot get through with less than three hours of prayer.” If you are too busy to pray, you have nothing to hold you all together you can be sure of that. A wise man stops to address the priority first.
