Psa 1:1-3, 1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly …3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper”
Trees are planted for beauty, shade, timber, fruits. God plants His trees for fruit. As trees, we are planted by the river of the living water to grow and bring forth fruit. As branches in Joh 15, we abide in Him in order to bear fruit.
You are already blessed because you are connected to the life source. Gal 5:22-23, gives us a list of fruit to bring forth when we abide, “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. ..”. It takes time for a tree to grow them and blossom but the first signs are seen. God has planted us by His rivers, He is the living water, He continuously flows fresh water in us for our sustance and growth. The more we see the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, the more we consider ourselves blessed and whatever we do, we will prosper.
