Jon 2:4 Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.’…10 So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.
Jonah looked (prayed) to God something he should have done from the ship the moment he realized that God troubled the sea because of him.
Joh 7:38 “…as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (KJV). Noah’s belly lacked the right water until he found himself in another belly, a belly of death yet preserved. His reasons for refusing to go Nineveh was because going to preach judgment and destruction would have been acceptable to him if God followed through with it. But Jonah acquainted with God’s dealing was convinced that God would spare them if they repented. The irony of his story is that he knew to call on God and trust him to forgive and deliver him but he would not want that for others.
To have living water stream from your belly, you may first experience being trapped in a belly of some fish with only one hope out, call on Jesus. The experience teaches a valuable lesson never to be learned in a classroom, that God pardons sinners that are hell bent, stiff necked stubborn. Out of our lives living water flow because He flows in and through us. Today if you are in the belly of some fish, cry to Him for deliverance, let Him set you free. Out of a belly did He bring you forth and from your belly shall flow rivers of the living water.
