Eccl 11:4 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.
In life, the feeling to be ready before you act can be good but can paralyze too. Missed opportunities can be traced to needless delays, fears, over thinking things or waiting to fully understand before you act. There is a considerable loss of opportunities for a farmer who waits until all the conditions are favorable before he sows. Opportunities slips by those who wait for sure signs before they do anything.
The Lord tends to call people to the unknown territories for which the need for hope is considered. Hope is the expectation of the good out of sight. Meditate on this, “God leads, we obey, He supplies” (Pastor Gregg Johnson). By nature we want the order reversed “He supplies, we obey, He leads” that is walking by sight. Most growths happen while on the job and not on standby. Don’t waste time waiting to be fully ready before you can be in ministry, start a relationship, marriage, have children etc. Pray, seek wisdom and move. Investors are risk takers not sure individuals. Be wise and invest in your spouse, children, ministry, future. Live like this it but also live like there is tomorrow. Become an intentional, proactive investor.
