Acts 3:1-16, 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know…
The experience of boarding a plane to fly to a destination highlights the necessity and the simplicity of having faith. You have to ask yourself, how much faith do you need to board a plane? We all entrust our lives to pilots because of our confidence in their abilities to fly the planes. We don’t have to see them, interview or see their credentials. We trust they have qualified people on the cockpit and their mission is not to do evil but good.
Abraham resolved this in Gen 18:25 with his confidence in God “… Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (NIV). Head knowledge provides the heart with good information to believe. Peter explained how this faith works, vs. “16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know…”. Jesus’ name and through faith, indicating that the faith to believe begins with Him and through Him. Jesus is the giver as well as the object of our faith and “Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust…” (Psa 40:4).
