Mark 5:39 When He came in, He said to them, Why make this commotion and weep? the child is not dead, but sleeping”
Jairus was encouraged not to be afraid but believe. One thing for sure, Jesus was not heading there to conduct a funeral service but resurrection service. He came to do the impossible. He then said to those who were there “…the child is not dead, but sleeping”. Was Jesus naïve or blind to see the child dead? No, He saw what the mourners could not see.
Faith does not deny reality, it sees possibilities. The problem today, we are too quick to bury the dead we quit praying and believing too early. We find it easy to hang out with people who don’t believe and their talk assassinates the faith to see the possibilities. Jesus had the same kind of people surround Him. He shut out those who made fun of the miracle and only brought to the inner circles those who had faith to believe (vs. Mark 5:40). The resurrected Christ is resurrecting us. We should surround ourselves with faith boosters, pray together over needs by faith and stand still to see the salvation of the Lord. May the Lord give us the eyes (faith in God) to see things as He sees them.
