1Ki 18:44 And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little cloud like a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’”
Elijah first never expected the rain to delay, and second, he never expected the result to start small. Both experiences would discourage many of us from advancing, but not with Elijah. A delayed response and a little cloud rather than abundance as promised did not disappoint him. Great blessings often arise from small beginnings. They are like seeds with potentials of producing much.
It is with the little we thank God and trust Him to unfold what He has began. Don’t wait until you have it all together to move, take small steps day by day and see how the Lord unfolds abundant blessings. Elijah did not dwell on the size of the cloud neither should we, Ecc 11:4 “He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap”.
