Psa 91:5-6, 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday
In this crazy world, dangers are everywhere but God’s care is sufficient to defend His people from them all. Without covering, the enemy PREYS, we must therefore PRAY to be under His covering.
In vs 4 we are provided with light weight of care of protection, these following verses provide heavy duty care. Such frail and sinful are we that both night and day we are exposed to danger and carried away by fear. The terrible things that happen in the night cannot paralyze a righteous man who has committed himself and his family to the care and protection of God. In addition, neither pestilence that walks in darkness nor destruction that lays waste at noonday creates terror to those who make the Lord their trust. Isa 59:19, “…When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him”.
