Something admirable about a praying woman is that she knows how to stand in prayer and be received by her Master. Surprisingly, majority of prayer warriors in our churches are ladies.
Hannah was a praying woman, that which she desired was birthed through prayers. In praying for a son, “vs 10 …she was in bitterness of soul and prayed unto then Lord, and wept sore…15…poured her soul before the Lord“ (1Sam 1:10-15). Here was a woman in intensive intercession for something she believed, God’s faithfulnesses. It was not done for selfish reasons but out of a desire to bless God, be blessed and be a blessing. Samuel was an answer to a virtuous woman with a prayer backbone. She prayed for a son, God gave her a prophet and other children in addition.She was not afraid to surrender all her desires to the Lord holding nothing back. She knew her strength lied in her prayers and therefore she dressed herself with this strength and made her arms strong even when no one was there to support and encourage her.
