Pro 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue
A prudent woman’s worth is not in her clothing or jewelry, she has something better, she has wisdom, “11 for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her” (Pro 8:11-12). To be clear, Solomon is not suggesting that a woman should not adorn herself, it is where her major emphasis is on that defines her.
In wisdom she knows when, what and how to speak. Because she is different, her speeches are guided by wisdom and grace, and not by excessive passions. She is not merely a good woman attending diligently to material interests; she guides and protects her family with words of wisdom. When she speaks, it is not gossip, or slander, or idle talk, but words of prudence and sound sense, such as may minister grace to the hearers. Abigail in 1Sam 25:2-42 held such qualities, listen to David praise her, “32…Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me! 33 Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from working salvation with my own hand!“.
