Luk 1:57-58, 57 Now Elizabeth…brought forth a son. 58 When her neighbors and relatives heard .., they rejoiced with her.
Joy is a delight of the mind, from the consideration of the present (already) or assured approaching possession of a good (expectation).
Elizabeth was blessed with a promised seed even though she was past childbearing age. Despite this, she received the word and eventually gave birth to the promised seed, John the Baptist. Her heart was filled with joy, and her relatives, friends, and neighbors shared in her happiness.
Every mother should rejoice, knowing that God has favored them to bring children into the world. Your joy should not be dependent on the outcome of your children, but on the fact that you were chosen to bring them into existence Even if no one calls you blessed, Jesus calls you blessed and speaks of you in remembrance like this day like He did when He speaks of John and mentions his mother indirectly Mat 11:11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist”; May God bring your children to call you blessed. May neighbors and relatives call you blessed. May the thought of yourself as a highly favored mother make your heart joyful.
