Psa 34:15-17, 15 The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. …17 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Prolonged challenges and attacks from Satan and his agents sometimes makes us question if the Lord sees our situations and hears our cries. And if He does, why is He not intervening? David faced many life threatening situations, he had to remind himself that God sees and hears His people despite of their failures and locations.
He who is righteous by faith shall live, not by their own works but by the finished work of Christ on the cross. God sees and hears on the merit of Christ’s obedience. This is the ground by which our prayers are heard and answered. The righteous often get distressed and afflicted and what is his comfort? the Lord hears their cry (prayers) and sooner or later delivers His people from all their troubles on the account of Christ’s righteousness. His loving eyes delight in provide believers needs. We fall short every day and even feel ashamed to come, we wonder if our failures/sins are the reasons He is not seeing or hearing. Our covering in Christ is our comfort that God sees and hears and the grounds to keep praying.
