Rom 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Witnessing God’s power in situations beyond our control is truly exhilarating. As God displays His power, the cunning Satan also attempts to do the same. In Exodus, a clear example of this phenomenon is observed when Moses approached Pharaoh, and through Aaron cast his shepherd’s staff to the ground and it became a serpent. Almost immediately, Pharaoh’s magicians replicated this feat You can see both powers in display but one is inferior and limited.
Often, we become fearful of Satan’s power and find ourselves stagnant. It is important to recognize that Satan possesses power, undoubtedly, and he has his own way of performing deceptive acts. While we cannot strip him of his power, we can certainly neutralize the effects of his schemes through the shield that is our God, who is on our side. God’s magnificence lies not in rendering the enemy powerless, but in showcasing a power that surpasses that of Satan. This was shown as and end result when the serpent of Moses, symbolizing Christ, devoured the magicians’, symbolizing Satan.
