Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Wheel alignment in a car is the process of adjusting vehicle suspension components to bring the wheels and tires into specific angles, facilitating optimal vehicle handling, tire wear, and performance. One major suspects of getting wheels out of alignment are hitting potholes on the road while driving. Without wheel alignment, a smooth ride is affected, faster tear and wear will be seen on tires and pull in one direction may be expected.
Believers need a different kind of alignment, a “will alignment”. The fact that we bend out of shape almost everyday positions us to keep running to the Porter’s shop for realignment. The order by which Paul gives us is first submitting to God as a living sacrifice, a form of worship to God. The moment we give ourselves to the Lord, we realize how out of place we are in our thinking. We picture Isaiah’s experience in Isaiah 6 and we long to be realigned to His will. That becomes the means by which our worldview is readjusted and we shift from being conformed to this world and our minds are transformed. The transformed mind thinks, reasons, acts differently and that is because it’s no longer out of shape due to the potholes of life, it’s realigned to the Master’s will. It is renewed to keep running the race set before it without being weary. Isa 40:31 ”But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. ” Do you need a will alignment today? We need it every day.
