Psa 107:8-9, 8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.”
To give thanks is to show gratitude, give admonition, and let gratefulness flow out of your heart expressed in words and in deeds. We are experts in asking from the Lord by prayers for days, weeks and even months but how often do we take time for days, weeks, months and even years to give thanks when the prayers are answered? Those who give thanks continuously learn contentment and are less complainers. How much you give thanks demonstrates how much you recognize God’s doing.
The Psalmist here again gives us reasons to the thankful. We are called to praise God for His excellence and His goodness. We praise and thank Him for His wondrous works. We thank Him because of His benefits. He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
