Psa 118:23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes
The doctrine of divine providence asserts that God is in complete control of all things and governs by providence every aspect of our lives we enjoy. I think many people equate God’s move to thunderous, massive miracles. That is the only time they sense His moving. What we often forget is that the Lord is moving everyday even in the littlest things we ignore. Sometimes stopping to smell the roses, look up in the sky, listen to birds sing etc should serve as a reminder of the divine providence.
Christ repeated this verse in Mat 21:42 indicating that that which was rejected and a stumbling block was indeed God’s providence for the saving the world. And how marvelous that is. He is the stone the builders rejected. He is the stone cut out of the mountain without hands (Dan 2:34). He is the stone, not only for strength, firmness, and duration, but for life (spiritual and physical). “This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes”
