Dan 6:23 Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.
Daniel’s service and his belief was not with a view to a miraculous deliverance. He served God because God was worthy, and God in His response granted him favor, gifted and preserved him. The king rejoiced for him, God had preserved him. At the command of the king, they brought him out of the den and no manner of hurt was found upon him. He was not traumatized, crushed nor scarred, only kept perfectly well, because he believed in his God.
Those who boldly and cheerfully trust in God to protect them in the way of their duty shall never be made ashamed of their confidence in Him. This is God’s unfailing testimony to all of His faithfulness to His people. Psa 34:19-20 “19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. 20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken”. Psa 3:3 “But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.”
