Acts 3:1-16, 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. ...
Christ is the author and perfecter of our faith. If by and through Him do we have faith to be saved, then by and through Him do we have faith for all kinds of provisions. This is because we have confidence in God demonstrated when we pray to Him. There are times our faith is weak and that’s ok because it drives us to Him to pray “Lord I believe, help my unbelief” which is to say, “help me to be faithful in believing“.
We therefore must pray by faith and entrust all in the care of our Lord then quit trying to build faith in our faith. Stop robbing yourself of rest in the Lord because you are constantly wondering if you are believing right. Peter wants us to rest in God when we have believed, he continues, “…. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all”. It was E.M Bound who wrote, “Prayer is simply faith resting in, acting with, leaning on and obeying God”. Pray, have faith, rest in the Lord.
