Pro 31:29-30, 29 Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all 30, Favor (charm) is deceitful, and beauty is vain (passing), but a woman that feareth the Lord, shall be praised
Pro 31 lists traits as we saw in different women. The writer believed that a virtuous woman can possess ALL these qualities. Character is not given or inherited, it is developed through prayers, hard work, training, counsel, perseverance, experiences etc.
Virtuous women perceive their merchandise are good and do not let their lamps go out by night (Pro 31:18) that is because their inner and outer beauty shines at all times. The fear of the Lord is the key to these qualities. It shows who you are abiding in as seen with the Shunammite woman (kindness and faith), the Spirit of Ruth (Obedience), Spirit of Mary (Destiny), Spirit of Hannah (praying). A woman who fears the Lord shall be praised, that is her beauty. Charisma and qualifications may open doors, only character keeps them open. Character is the quality that preserves a person. Pro 31:10 “who can find a virtuous wife (woman), for her worth is far above rubies”.
