Rom 5:1-5, 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God…
The teachings on faith is often explained as the expectation of good, and it is, however there is more to faith than that. What we rarely hear is “Sustaining Faith and/or Enduring Faith”. We devalue this aspect of faith because it may not promise new things, rather it preserves what can easily be broken or lost.
Justification is by grace through faith, the state in which those who have repented and trusted in Christ’s salvation. The removal of guilt makes us just (righteous). This faith makes us peaceable with God through Jesus Christ, and gives us access into this grace in which we stand. They who are righteous by faith shall live (Rom 1:17). This grace (unmerited favor) is sustained by/through faith in every stage of a Christian life. It produces and preserves joy because of the hope it reveals. It is the hope that sees the end result despite the current situations.
