Psa 37:7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
There is time to work and there is time to rest, especially when the soul is weary. The challenge most of us have is utilizing rest time to accomplish another task. And to be driven by the life of others and their prosperity is a sign of discontentment. Discontent people find it hard to rest.
To rest in the Lord is to cease to worry about things you have no control over, and let Him do the worrying. “Better is a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble with it.” (Pro 15:16), to those submitted to His will. A patient heart awaits with expectation of what further blessings God has appointed for you in His time. Psa 40:1-4 “1..I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry…4 Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!” The beauty of resting is letting someone else worry about your worries, that is “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1Pe 5:7).
