1Sam 1:8-18, 15 But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I … have POURED my soul before the Lord”
Heaven’s attention for our needs is triggered by prayers. Prayers gets God’s attention, heaven is in motion as we pray. Hannah desired a child but was barren, she perceived that her only hope was in God that is why she poured her heart in prayers.
God responds to persevering faith in prayer. It’s one thing to have faith, it’s another thing to exercise faith. It is one thing to have faith in a chair, it’s another thing believe and sit on it. Heb 10:35-36, “35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward, 36. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise”. Our confidence in God drives us to pray. Its being real (pouring) and enduring (patience) as seen with Hannah. After we have done the will of God of seeking His Kingdom first and His righteousness (Matt 6:33), then the promise of this and of other things desired according to His will shall be added unto us.
