1Ki 18:21-43, 41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.
Elijah proved to the prophets of Baal and Israel of the true God. The true God answered, He answered by fire. One man armed with prayer was better than hundreds of the prophets of baal who could not get the attention of their false god. The fire that came down was a token of God’s acceptance of Elijah’s sacrifice and prayers. On this ground, Elijah encouraged Ahab to go eat and drink for God had now accepted his works and rain was on the way.
Heb 10:35-36, “35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised”. Those who believe in the true God can but have confidence that their God will come through for them. And once you do the will of God of believing and seeking, don’t remain sad and miserable, get up, be refreshed, reposition and rejoice in what God is about to do.
