Joh 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
True salvation (the only) makes impact on people, evidenced by big or small change. No one hit by truck by example can remain the same, a change due to the contact/impact will be noticed. When we get saved we know something has happened, there is a change but we may not understand right away how but the evidence. In vs. 8 Jesus uses the wind analogy, He says, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (Joh 3:8).
First of all, Christ and Paul declares the gospel as the power of God (Dunamis which is the Greek term where the word dynamite is derived). The gospel carries with it the omnipotence of God, whose power alone is sufficient to save men from His wrath, sin and grant them eternal life. There is the cause (God) and the effect (we hear the sound, Faith comes by hearing…) and we see or sense the effects (change). The gospel that saves is the gospel that changes lives.
