Mat 6:9-15, 10…your kingdom come
To pray “Your kingdom come” is to seek God’s sovereign reign and rule over your life as Lord daily (Rom 14:7-9, Psa 24:1-10). It is aiming to advance His kingdom over yours (2Cor 5:18). It is Seeking to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live and do His work (Phi 3:10, Eph 3:20). Seeking His joy (Neh 8:10), His peace (Isa 26:3, Phil 4:5-7). Striving to be crucified with Christ, that is dead to self and alive unto Christ(Gal 2:20). Asking for a burden to pray effectively(2Chr 7:14), increase in faith (Luk 17:5), and wisdom from above (Jam 1:5, 2Chr 1:10) and more.
I sum up “Your kingdom come” in these 3 points, 1.Hunger for God (Mat 5:6), 2. Craving for righteousness (Pro 8:13, Col 3:1-4), 3. Passion for the lost (2Cor 5:14). Col 3:1-4 “1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, … 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory”. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Mat 6:21). Majority of our prayer should center on this point because we draw from above to become what the world cannot offer.
