Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…
Jesus resurrected from the dead with great victory over sin and death. He died once and lives forever more yet He came back with visible scars (from nails). The scars remind us of who He is and His great sacrifice.
If you are in Christ you too also have scars (history). They are not for condemnation but reminders of God’s salvation from the past sins. One thing I have noticed that steals believer’s joy is treating scars as wounds, poking what the Lord already healed. Scars are not for self condemnation but reminders to thank Him even more for His finished work on the cross.
In Christ our past, present, future sins are washed away in His blood never to be remembered. There is therefore no condemnation to those in Christ. Scars (history) are to testify to doubting Thomases (family, friends, neighbors) that you were once dead but now alive in Christ, and God is able to do the same for them. Live victoriously in Christ with yours scars.
