Pro 11:3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.
The one quality that suffers in our time is lack of integrity in marriages, in court system, politics, job sectors, and in schools to name a few. Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Where integrity is lacking, everything suffers.
The lack of fear of God is the root of all kinds of ungodly practices, and the man who wants to walk in integrity cannot trust his heart because “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; …” (Jer 17:9). The Spirit of God is the best guide of an upright man. He leads us into all truth, and unto the land of uprightness, and continues to be a guide until the end. Living in truth preserves a man’s integrity from crookedness, perverse ways, words, and actions of such who transgress the law from destruction. Integrity as needed go hand in hand with faithfulness.
“3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.” (Pro 3-4)
