Psa 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; …(a)
Evil often makes appearance where there is good to oppose it. Our Savior who went about doing good was opposed and rejected. And we are in no way better than our Savior to escape them. A righteous man has opposing enemies, he would not be like his Lord if he did not face a number of things his Lord faced.
Our blessed Savior is not intimidated by the current state of the world and its mess. He still prepares good things for His people and sets them right in the presence of their enemies. We are not to be afraid to enjoy the abundant blessings He bestows upon us. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Rom 8:31) The enemy may frustrate God’s plan but he cannot abort it. He cannot hinder or stop the work of God. God turns for good for what is meant for evil, it is for His glory. God overrides the schemes of Satan for He is greater.
James encourages us with these words: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (Jam 1:17).
